QUALITY AND GLORY OF THE TEN DAYS OF DHUL-HIJJAH

1- Performing Hajj and 'Umrah (for the able):

Abu Hurayrah (Radhwiya Allaahu 'anhu) has narrated that the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: Bukhaari and Muslim]

ن ه ب ه ه ه ه ه ه ه:::::: (((((((((((((أ (((((((((((((((((((' ؟

Abu Hurayrah (Radhwiya Allaahu 'anhu) has narrated that he was asked the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) ‘What is the best deed? He said: "Believe in Allaah and His Messenger." He was asked: Then what? He said: "Jihad in the way of Allaah." He was asked: Then what? He said: "Hajj Mabruwr." [Al-Bukhaari and Muslim]

2- Praying for true Tawbah and refraining from rebellion:

Says Allaah (Subhaanahu wa Ta'aala):

((O you who believe! Repent to Allaah in true tawbah!)) [At-Tahriym: 8]

And the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) has given us great hope for the remission of our sins and mistakes in the following narration:

Anas (Radhwiya Allaahu 'anhu) has narrated that: I heard the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) say: “Allaah (Tabaaraka Ta’aalaa) has said: O bin-Aadam! Surely if you ask Me and expect me (in return) I will forgive you all that you have and I do not care, O bin-Adam! If your sins had reached the size of heaven, and you had asked me for forgiveness, I would have forgiven you regardless of how much sin you have committed. O son of Adam! Surely you would have come to me with sins near the size of the earth, and then you met me and you did not associate anything with me, then I will come to you with forgiveness for it. " [At-Tirmidhi and Shaykh Al-Albaaniy give Hasan rank]

3-Reminiscing of Allaah (Subhaanahu wa Ta'aalaa):

By bringing Takbiyrah from the month of dhul-Hijjah to the end of Ayyaamut-Tashriyq (ie the 13th of Dhul-Hijjah) after Salaatul-'Asr is the end of it. The symptoms are as follows: The statement of Allaah (Subhaanahu wa Ta'aala):

((To witness their benefit; and to mention the Name of Allaah on a special day for what He has provided for them among the four-footed animals of cattle. [Al-Hajj 28]

And also Hadith:

Ibn 'Umar and Abu Hurayrah (Radhwiya Allaahu' anhumaa) used to go to the market for ten days (of Dhul-Hijjah) and recite the Takbiyr aloud and the people would perform it. [Al-Bukhaari]

And He says Allaah (Subhaanahu wa Ta'aala):

And remember Allaah in the days of reckoning. [Al-Baqarah: 203]

Ibn 'Abbaas (Radhwiya Allaahu' anhumaa) said: "The reckoning days are the days of tashriyq (11, 12, 13 Dhul-Hijjah) and the special days are the first ten days of Dhul-Hijjah." [Al-Qurtwubiy: 3.3]

Remember Allaah Ta'aalaa more for Tasbiyh, Tahmiyd, Tahliyl, Takbiyr: It means: to say: Subhaana Allaah, AlhamduliLLaah, laa Ilaaha illa Allaah, Allaahu Akbar.

Takbiyr in these holy days are of two kinds: [1]

  ATTakbiyr Al-Mutwlaq: Of All Times:

Takbiyr all day and night from the entrance to the month of Dhul-Hijjah and continues until the last day of Tashriyq (the 13th of Dhul-Hijjah) and ends after entering the West

B-Takbiyr Al-Muqayyad: Special Estimates:

Takbiyr after each obligatory prayers and begins after the Dawn Prayer on 'Arafah Day until it enters the West of the last day of Tashriyq (13th Dhul-Hijjah).

 What to do Takbiyr:

Allaahu Akbar, Allaahu Akbar, laa Ilaaha illa Allaah, Allaahu Akbar Allaahu Akbar WaliLLaahil-Hamd

4- Reviving the Sunnah of the Prophet (sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam):

Men are required to speak aloud to remind others and women to speak silently unless they are in their presence. Reviving the Sunnah of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) is important because without doing so would be a loss of his bounties, and it would also be a loss of the Sunnah of our beloved Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him).

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: "Whoever does a good deed (Sunnatun-Hasanah) in Islam and then it is followed to be done, he will be given an example of the reward of the one who does it after his lack of reward." [Muslim]

5- Fasting Swiyaam these days especially on the day of 'Arafah:

Fasting Swiyaam on this day is the remission of sins for two years:

Abu Qataadah (Radhwiya Allaahu 'anhu) narrated that: The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: [Muslim]

Swawm keeps a person away from Fire.

Abu Sa'iyd Al-Khudhwriyy (Radhwiya Allaahu 'anhu) has narrated that the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: seventy. ” [Al-Bukhaari and Muslim]

And Swawm has a double reward.

Abu Hurayrah (Radhwiya Allaahu 'anhu) has narrated that the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: ) He says: Except the Swam, for that is for Me and I am the One Who will repay him. He has given up his desires and his food for Me. For the one who fasted Swawm will find two happiness; happy when he wakes up and happy when he meets his Rabb, the smell that comes from the mouth of the one who fasts is better in the sight of Allaah than the smell of misk. ” [Muslim and Ahmad]

6- Multiplying ‘good deeds in various ways:

From praying obligatory prayers on time and then praying Sunnah prayers, reciting the Qur'aan, giving swadaqah, praying supplications in abundance, obeying parents and doing good to them, communicating with relatives (supporting brotherhood), doing good deeds to their neighbors, enjoining good deeds and forbidding evil, doing good to one another and charity and so on.

7- Slaughtering after the Eid Prayer:

Says Allaah (Subhaanahu Wa Ta'aala):

((So Question for your Rabb and slaughter)) [Al-Kawthar: 2]

And in the following story we find a description of the type of animal to be slaughtered and its slaughter.

Anas (Radhwiya Allaahu 'anhu) has narrated that: The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) slaughtered two white sheep with horns, slaughtered them with his hands, said BismiLLaah and Allaahu Akbar and set his foot on their backs. [Al-Bukhaari and Muslim]

* Some Scholars have said that it is white with black markings, others have said that it is mixed with red.

This 'act of slaughter is' glorious ibaadah and is a Sunnah that has been emphasized even by scholars who have found it obligatory for anyone who was able to slaughter.

What a potential victim should do:

After performing the niyyah of slaughter, he should not cut a person's hair or nails until he has finished slaughtering as we are commanded in the following hadith:

Umm Salamah (Radhwiya Allaahu 'anhaa) has narrated that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: [Muslim and others] And in another narration: "He should not cut his hair or his nails until he has finished slaughtering."

This is a bounty and grace to us because we are as if we are in a small ihraam as they are pilgrims in their ihraam, although their ihraam is forced to be forbidden other things. If he forgets a person, for example he cuts his nails then he should just continue with his niyyah until he has finished slaughtering.

8- Attending the Eid Prayer:

Going to pray the ‘Eid prayer is a matter strongly emphasized by the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him). But many Muslims have ignored this practice and the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) has urged women who are menstruating and the elderly to go and listen to the khutbah of Salaah. When the time for Salah arrives, the menstruating women should separate until the end of the prayer and then join their partners in listening to the khutbah.

9-‘Actions to Perform on the Day of‘ Arafah Which Is The Ninth Day Dhul-Hijjah

a) Whoever fasts Swawm, will be fined for two years!

This glorious day is the perfect day for our Religion. The rewards of fasting on this day are the remission of sins for two years.

Abu Qataadah (Radhwiya Allaahu 'anhu) has narrated that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: "The fast of' Arafah, I expect Allaah to blot out the sins of the previous year and the next." [Muslim]

b) The day on which many people are released from fire

The Mother of the Believers, 'Aaishah (Radhwiya Allaahu' anhaa) has narrated that the Messenger of Allaah (sallAllaahu 'alayhi wa sallam) said: He (the beast) will come on the Day of Resurrection with his horns, his nails and his hair. His blood will be shed somewhere Allaah knows when it will be poured out on the earth. So please enjoy yourself. ” [At-Tirmidhi, Sunan Ibn Maajah]

And when the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) was asked:

What are these slaughterhouses? He replied: "It is the Sunnah of your father Ibraahiym." They said, "What is the significance of it?" He said: "In every hair there is one good thing." They said: "And the wool?" He said: "In every hair of the wool there is one good." [Ahmad, Ibn Maajah]

c) The best Du'aa is Du'aa on the day of 'Arafah

It should be a great remembrance of Allaah on this day as the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:

"The best du'aa 'is du'aa' on the day of 'Arafah, and the best that I have said to the Prophets before me is:

Laa Ilaaha illa Allaah Wahdahu laa shariyka Lahu, Lahul-Mulku Walahul-Hamdu wa Huwa 'alaa kulli shay-in Qadiyr. [At-Tirmidhi]

10-Deeds to Perform on the Day of Slaughter which is the Feast of ‘Iyd

The Prophet (sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam) said:

"The most glorious day for Allaah is the day of slaughter, then the day of rest." (i.e. the day of Minaa stay) [Sunan Abi Daawuwd]

This is also the second Muslim Feast, this day should go to the Eid prayer, greet the Muslims, support the brotherhood by visiting and communicating with them in various ways, giving special gifts to children, eating and drinking and enjoying all kinds of pleasures permissible shari'ah.
